Role Overview: This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures with a focus on mammography, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging results. The technologist independently sets up equipment, positions patients, and follows safety protocols while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities Include Providing safe, age-appropriate patient care and obtaining complete clinical histories.Preparing and operating radiographic equipment, adjusting techniques for optimal image quality.Verifying patient identity, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining patient privacy.Responding to emergency situations and assessing patient conditions for physician intervention.Explaining procedures to patients, addressing questions, and providing preparatory instructions.Maintaining equipment, conducting quality control tests, and ensuring regulatory compliance.Transporting, positioning, and assisting patients during procedures, and performing routine clerical tasks.Documenting procedures accurately, managing supplies, and supporting departmental training. Qualifications And Skills Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.Certifications: ARRT-Mammography, ARRT-Radiography, and BLS.Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with preferred mammography experience.Excellent communication, customer service, and the ability to work independently and under pressure.Strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and knowledge of anatomy and pathology.
