Part Time Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Join our team as a Maintenance Tech, working approximately 28 hours per week across our Monroe, Athens, and Commerce, GA storage locations. We're looking for someone who takes pride in fixing things right the first time, enjoys a variety of hands-on tasks, and thrives in a detail-oriented environment. You’ll work independently while maintaining clear communication and teamwork, ensuring our properties are well-maintained and safe.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine maintenance and repairs to ensure safe and efficient property operations
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and building-related issues
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and inspections
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and scheduled procedures
• Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts; order materials as instructed
• Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of buildings, units, and grounds
• Communicate regularly with property teams regarding maintenance needs, budgets, and completed work
• Assist with coordinating external vendors and contractors for larger repairs or capital improvement projects
• Follow all OSHA guidelines and company safety policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Background screening conducted at time of hire
• For positions involving driving: valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
