Part Time - Licensed Practical Nurse

Role Overview

This position involves providing patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring actions comply with regulatory standards. The role includes administering intravenous therapy, medications, and supporting patient education to promote health and healing while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Additionally, the individual collaborates with healthcare team members, collects patient data, assists in care planning and evaluation, and participates in quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate and coordinate with registered nurses
• Collect and document patient data
• Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans
• Administer prescribed medications and IV therapy following regulatory guidelines
• Provide patient education and reinforce health teachings
• Participate in ongoing professional development and quality initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum IV therapy training per state board requirements
• Preferred experience includes at least six months of relevant IV therapy experience
• Educational background includes completion of an accredited nursing program or approved IV therapy course
• Proficiency in computer literacy
• Licensure requirements include BLS certification within 14 days of hire, and IV certification as mandated by state boards
