About the role
Seeking a part-time medical assistant or licensed practical nurse to support a Family Medicine department.
Responsibilities
- Patient rooming and in-office procedure assistance
- Administering injections and vaccines
- Performing laboratory tests and therapeutic services
- Educating patients and families on treatment plans and self-care
- Documenting provider encounters, transcribing orders, and managing electronic medical records (Epic)
- Monitoring patient responses and ensuring comprehensive data collection
- Contributing to patient assessment and well-being under supervision
Qualifications and Skills
- Graduates of accredited medical assisting or nursing programs
- WI Licensed Practical Nurse or CMA/RMA certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform clinical tasks
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
