About the role

Canyon View High School is seeking two Part-Time Level I Special Education Paraprofessionals to support students with disabilities under the direction of a Special Education Teacher.

Schedule

27.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support and assistance to students and student groups to reinforce and follow up on learning activities.
• Assist in observing and recording behavior patterns; follow appropriate techniques to reinforce acceptable behavior.
• Support certified educators with the presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of classroom management systems.
• Guide students in working and interacting harmoniously with peers.
• Supervise students in all areas of the school, including during lunch hour.
• Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and job performance.
• Operate office equipment such as computers, copy machines, and related systems.
• Monitor students inside and outside the building during lunch hour.

Requirements

• Basic computer knowledge, including familiarity with Google Docs.
• Willingness to learn and use all required computer systems and software.
• Frequent email checking.
