About the role
The Department of Criminal Justice invites applications for a temporary lecturer appointment. Candidates selected will teach one or more courses in Criminal Justice. This position is contingent upon unstaffed sections and the availability of authorized funding.
Responsibilities
- Teach one or more courses in Criminal Justice
- Evidence of successful college or university level teaching experience
- Demonstrated excellence teaching upper-division courses in Criminal Justice at the university level
Requirements
- MA in Criminal Justice (or closely related field), or a J.D.
- Ph.D. in Criminal Justice (or closely related field) preferred
Qualifications
- MA in Criminal Justice (or closely related field), or a J.D.
- Ph.D. in Criminal Justice (or closely related field) preferred
- Demonstrated excellence teaching upper-division courses in Criminal Justice at the university level
Skills
- Ability to teach Criminal Justice courses

Pay
Salary is based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules are prorated based on the number of units assigned and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
