Employee Classification: Adjunct Lecturer (Part-Time)
About the Role
The School of Nursing is searching for part-time lecturers (PTLs) with experience in community health to work with our full-time faculty on an as-needed basis to teach clinical nursing courses.
Responsibilities
- Teach clinical nursing courses
- Develop and maintain professional teaching skills
- Meet with students during and outside of assigned classes
- Assess student work and performance
- Prepare syllabi and course materials
- Provide copies of syllabi and course materials to supervisor upon request
- Assign and submit grades in accordance with established schedules
- Perform related departmental duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active, unencumbered license as a professional nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan
- Two years of recent and applicable clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Prior experience teaching clinical and/or undergraduate students
