About the role
The School of Nursing at Clemson University invites applicants for a part-time lecturer or senior lecturer position. This is a part-time, 9-month appointment focused on teaching, with responsibilities primarily at the Clemson University Nursing building in Greenville, SC.
Responsibilities
- Teach in the classroom, clinical sites, and simulated clinical learning activities in the simulation laboratory in collaboration with course faculty.
- Assure that classroom course material is evidence-informed.
- Serve on School, College, and University committees as elected or appointed.
- Participate in School-wide planning initiatives to support the School of Nursing’s mission, vision, and goals.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Eligible for South Carolina RN License.
- Experience in collaborative relationships between practice and academic organizations.
- Experience teaching in higher education and working with diverse student populations.
- Teaching experience at the university level that enhances students’ critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Teaching experience in nursing Leadership and Management.
- Comfort with the supervision of student groups and commitment to collaborative communication with healthcare professionals in various clinical settings.
- Prior engagement with curricular revision and incorporation of multiple classroom instructional technology methods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching graduate-level courses.
- Certified Nurse Educator.
- Proficiency with emerging healthcare technologies and information systems.
Pay
$6,000 per course.
