Part-Time Lecturer in Music Therapy

About the role

The University of Louisville School of Music seeks an outstanding candidate to serve as Lecturer in Music Therapy to begin by August 1, 2026. This is a 5-month part-time faculty position that will hold the rank of part-time lecturer.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and supervising music therapy practicum courses
• Providing supervision, meeting regularly with students to support professional growth
• Evaluating student progress, facilitating reflective learning, and ensuring the integration of academic knowledge with clinical practice

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in music therapy or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
• Current certification as a Music Therapist–Board Certified (MT-BC)
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and supervise students
