About the Opportunity
Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies invites applicants for a part-time faculty position to teach in the Master or Professional Studies Analytics, located on-ground in Boston, MA. Responsibilities:
- Instructional areas included, but are not limited to, analytics, with particular expertise in probability and statistics, data exploration, data visualization, and predictive analytics.
- The mission of the Master of Professional Studies in Analytics program is to foster foundational analytics skills among working professionals, including preparing data, conducting data analysis such as regression, forecasting, optimization, data visualization, and data story telling.
- This degree prepares students for entry-‐and mid-‐level roles in analytics, such as data analyst, data specialist, database analyst, program analyst, research analyst, or research associate. These roles are general analyst roles and are not specific to any particular professional domains or disciplines (e.g., business, marketing, and engineering).
- The degree is deeply rooted in experiential learning that is closely linked to professional applications in the work force.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualification: Masters in an aligned discipline and analytics-industry experience.
- Preference for candidates with a PhD in a sciences field, or similar.
- Demonstration of teaching, coaching, and/or training is required, with a history of successful teaching (online/on ground) at the graduate level is strongly preferred.
