Part-Time Leasing Consultant
About the role
Part-time leasing roles at student or conventional communities in a market like Charleston carry real weight. The hours may be fewer, but the expectations at the front desk stay the same: convert traffic into signed leases, keep the pipeline moving, and make every prospect feel like the community was built for them.
Responsibilities
- Convert leads across every channel: phone, email, text, and in‑person tours.
- Maintain strong follow‑up discipline and execute multi‑touch outreach (calls plus emails plus texts).
- Support the operational side of the lease cycle, including collecting deposits, completing lease paperwork accurately, and contributing to the annual turn process.
Requirements
- At least one year of sales or leasing experience, with demonstrable results (not just resume).
- Proven ability to close deals.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Yardi, Entrata, or RealPage.
- Schedule flexibility to work weekends and peak leasing hours.
Skills & Development
You’ll develop a sharp read on pricing strategy, competitive positioning, and how to create genuine urgency on tours. You’ll gain exposure to tracking traffic, managing prospect pipelines, and tying daily activity to occupancy numbers—skills that transfer to full‑time leasing, leasing‑manager, or assistant‑manager tracks. In the Charleston market you’ll learn to differentiate the community on service and experience, not just price or amenities.
Benefits
- Housing discounts (varies by community)
- 401(k) with company match
- Wellness programs and team recognition
- Access to growth and leadership development programming
Pay
Commission‑eligible structure with earning potential tied to leasing performance.
Schedule
Work includes weekends and peak leasing hours; scheduling flexibility is required.
