Part Time Lead Childcare Teacher

About the role

Seeking part-time Lead Teachers to manage a multi-age care room for children aged 2–12, focusing on activities, curriculum, safety, and communication with parents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure child safety and wellbeing
• Lead age-appropriate activities and manage group dynamics with empathy
• Communicate with parents and handle emergencies calmly
• Plan and implement curriculum and hands-on activities
• Maintain records, paperwork, and a clean space
• Collaborate with team members and participate in training and outreach events

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience as a Lead Teacher in a childcare setting
• Knowledge of child development, diapering, and toilet training
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage behaviors positively
• First Aid & CPR certification (support provided)
• Ability to engage actively with children and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience managing multi-age groups or with a CDA or higher degree
• Background in early childhood education or related certifications

Pay

$18–$20/hour, weekly paychecks

Schedule

This is an in-person, variable-schedule role suited for flexible individuals who can adapt to short-notice shifts, typically between 10 am and 4 pm. Candidates should be comfortable with active engagement and physical activity throughout the day.
