Part Time Childcare Lead Teacher

About the Role

Part-time Lead Teacher managing a multi-age care room for children aged 2–12. Responsibilities include leading activities, implementing curriculum, ensuring safety, communicating with parents, and maintaining an organized, clean environment. This role requires active, hands‑on engagement and is based in person.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children, promote safety and wellbeing
• Lead age‑appropriate activities and manage group dynamics
• Communicate with parents and handle emergencies calmly
• Plan and execute curriculum and hands‑on activities
• Keep records and maintain a safe, organized space
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in training and outreach

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Over 1 year of experience as a Lead Teacher in a childcare or preschool setting
• Knowledge of child development, diapering, and toilet training
• Strong communication skills and patience in behavior management
• First Aid & CPR certification (support available before start)
• Ability to lift children and actively engage throughout the day
• Preferred: Experience managing multi‑age groups including school‑age children
• Preferred: Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Preferred: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential

Compensation & Benefits

$18–$20/hour, weekly paychecks, paid sick time, free training, learning stipend, coaching, and flexible days off.
