About the role
The Supply Chain ESG & Compliance Analyst Intern is a part-time role for a motivated student seeking hands-on experience in supplier due diligence, ESG, and compliance activities.
Responsibilities
- Collect and manage supplier data for ESG, sustainability, compliance, conflict minerals, and product material content reporting.
- Execute supplier data collection campaigns through the Supplier Portal (Procure-to-Pay system), track progress, and follow up with suppliers or escalate internally on missing or incomplete responses.
- Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Use available AI and digital tools to consolidate individual supplier responses into Harman systems and databases.
- Learn and apply relevant requirements, standards, and best practices for assigned reporting activities, such as: Conflict Minerals (CMRT) reporting, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reporting, Country of Origin documentation and related compliance requirements.

- Work with large, diverse datasets from multiple internal and external sources.
- Design, execute, and improve repeatable supplier solicitation campaigns and questionnaires.
- Develop AI-based solutions or agents to support supplier response evaluation and data consolidation.
- Collaborate with global teams and gain exposure to remote leadership environments.
- Learn how procurement, supply chain planning, sustainability, finance, and compliance functions interact within a global operating model.
- Build a career foundation in sustainability, ESG, material compliance, supplier audits, and procurement operations.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program.
- Degree must be in related areas of work with courses in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related fields.
- Experience using or strong interest in AI tools to solve data, reporting, or analysis challenges.
- Solid Excel skills and willingness to learn advanced analytics or reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Bonus Points
- If you have familiarity with SAP or other procurement or supply-chain systems.
- If you have exposure to sustainability, carbon reporting, or material compliance requirements.
- If you have experience with BI or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik Sense).
- If you have interest in continuous improvement, data quality, and process optimization.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Be willing to work in an office in Northridge, CA. (HYBRID)
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Provide own housing and transportation to/from work.
- Provide proper work authorization.
- Provide work availability for 20 weeks and be able to work 20 hours per week.

- Freshman: $19.00
- Sophomore: $21.00
- Junior: $23.00
- Senior: $24.00
- Master: $28.00
