Supply Chain Intern

Essential Functions

• Maintain accurate import delivery schedules by updating purchase order dates, supplier confirmations, shipment milestones, and expected receipt information.
• Track international shipments from supplier readiness through final delivery, following up with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams as needed.
• Review open purchase orders to identify missing confirmations, delayed shipments, date changes, and potential supply risks requiring follow-up or escalation.
• Support expedite activity for critical materials by gathering status updates, documenting supplier responses, and helping communicate realistic delivery expectations.
• Aid with supply chain reporting, data accuracy checks, process documentation, and improvement projects that strengthen planning and on-time delivery visibility.
• Gain hands-on exposure to import logistics, supplier communication, ERP data maintenance, and practical supply chain decision-making in a manufacturing/distribution environment.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.
• Regularly required to communicate by phone, email, Microsoft Teams, and in person.
• Occasionally may be required to walk through warehouse or operations areas to support shipment or inventory-related follow-up.
• Occasionally may lift or move light materials, documents, or samples as needed.
