Part-time Intern, Admissions & Records
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The PT Intern, Admissions and Records, provides support for New Student Orientation by serving as a presenter, guide, small group leader, and assisting at the Welcome Desk and Enrollment Lab. The intern also provides information to faculty, staff, students, and community members while representing the college in a professional and welcoming manner.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist team members with events, including New Student Orientation, Premier Orientation, and Enrollment Week, by serving as an Orientation Leader.
- Supporting NSO tours, assisting during registration sessions, helping students navigate iStar functions, obtaining their LSC ID/Library Card, and providing general guidance and support throughout the process.
- Work at the Welcome Desk, assisting students with admissions checklist items and directing students to correct departments.
- Provide support to new and current students with Apply Texas, registration, and account holds in the enrollment lab.
- Process various registration and records-related forms, including transcripts, AP scores, TSI, SAT, and ACT scores.
- Provide support for calling campaigns and other recruitment or student initiatives.
- Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

Physical Abilities
- The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy items, such as typewriters and record boxes.
- The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities, such as above average agility and dexterity.
Work Schedule And Conditions
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
Salary
Hourly Pay Rate is $15.60.
