Recruiting Intern (Part-time)
Position Summary
Collaborates with talent acquisition team members on current and future hiring needs. Attracts candidates using sourcing tools such as Indeed and/or LinkedIn, and other tools as needed. Partners with the team to attract candidates to a variety of positions and may be asked to screen prospective candidates and to set up interviews for recruiters and/or hiring managers. Training will be provided on sourcing methods, how to navigate an applicant tracking system, and how to communicate and assess prospective and existing candidates via email, SMS, phone, and Teams video.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provides sourcing support to talent acquisition team members.
- Participates in intake meetings as needed.
- Occasionally handles a requisition(s) to provide temporary support to other recruiters.
- Splits time between handling a requisition load of 0-5 positions while balancing sourcing and other talent acquisition projects and priorities.
- Reviews and screens candidates prior to submitting for further review.
- Schedules screens and interviews for function leaders and/or talent acquisition team members as needed.
- Extends job offers via the applicant tracking system and initiates background checks and drug screens.
- Provides weekly updates with summary reports to function leaders regarding active requisitions.
- Ensures professional communication and timely follow-through with talent acquisition team members, function leaders, and candidates.
- Utilizes Indeed, LinkedIn, and/or other sourcing tools to develop and manage sourcing efforts and projects.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience working with MS Office.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience is required.
Budgeted Hiring Range: $25—$25 USD
All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will cover travel, lodging, and other accommodations.
