Responsibilities
- Prepare, teach, grade, and assess student learning in assigned courses.
- Create and model a quality learning environment supporting a diverse student population, including students with disabilities or special learning needs.
- Maintain student records and provide documentation for incompletes within established College timelines.
- Utilize technology-based programs to access and input information related to student records and college processes.
- Assist students with registration, advising, and graduation processes.
- Structure classes and curriculum to align with program and course outcomes.
- Prepare, distribute, and utilize instructional support materials, including syllabi, supplementary materials, and instructional media.
- Convene classes as scheduled and respond to student inquiries.
- Assist students outside the classroom through posted office hours.
- Attend in-service sessions, college meetings, graduation, and convocation as required.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current CBSPD (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification.
- Two years of recent Sterile Processing experience.
- Sterile Processing teaching or training experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to relate to and instruct a non-traditional, diverse student population.
- Working knowledge of current developments in the sterile processing field.
- Ability to utilize a variety of teaching methods, including lecture, collaborative learning, and individualized instruction.
- Ability to relate and explain complex subject matter at the community college level.
