About the role
The School of Media and Communication at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for part-time instructors with experience teaching communication studies (CMST 101 & CMST 110). We are seeking dynamic and engaged educators who are committed to student learning and success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach 1-2 sections of public speaking (CMST 101) and/or introduction to communication studies (CMST 110) in a face to face format based on need.
Qualifications
- MA in Communication Studies by start of fall semester (or Master’s Degree with at least 18 hours in Communication).
- Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at the University level appropriate to assignment.
- Commitment to effectively teaching and supporting students with a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and learning needs.
Desired Qualifications
- PhD in communication or related field.

- Names and contact information of at least three professional references
- Copy of transcript from institution awarding highest degree
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness, such as student evaluations or syllabi if available
