Part-Time Faculty: Communication and Media Studies Dept
Duties
The Department of Communication and Media Studies at Fordham University seeks experienced, qualified instructors to undertake teaching and related duties across undergraduate and Masters programs.
- Teaching takes place in person at the university’s Rose Hill campus (Bronx) or Lincoln Center (Manhattan).
- In most cases, classes meet twice a week for 75 minutes.
- Some evening classes and production classes meet once a week for 2.5 hours.
- Instructors are required to hold regular weekly office hours (which can be held remotely).
- Class enrollment sizes typically range from 15-35 students.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have (as a minimum) a Master's degree in a cognate subject and will ideally hold a PhD (or be enrolled in a PhD program) in a relevant field. We also typically require that instructors join us with a minimum of two years relevant teaching experience in higher education.
