Part-time Instructor (Pool) - Applied Exercise Science
Position Summary
Austin Peay State University is currently seeking part-time, temporary, adjunct instructors in the area of applied exercise science. Seeking an individual with expertise in anatomical kinesiology, exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, sport nutrition, and research in exercise science. The Department of Health & Human Performance serves approximately 600 majors in five undergraduate concentrations: Applied Exercise Science, Health, Public Health Care Management, Human Movement, and K-12 Teaching, In addition, approximately 60 students are in the Master of Science program: Sport and Wellness Leadership; Public Health Education; and Master of Healthcare Administration.
About the role
The successful candidate will teach courses in the areas of anatomy, physiology, exercise science, and related topics. Responsibilities may include conducting research, supervising student projects, and providing academic advising.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in anatomy, physiology, exercise science, and related topics

Requirements
- M.S. in Exercise Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the college level
- Experience in anatomical kinesiology, exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, sport nutrition, and research in exercise science
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
