Part- Time Instructional Assistant (District- Wide Pool of Applicants) 2027 FY

Essential Functions

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher
• Administers classroom assignments, tests, homework assignments, make-up work, etc.
• Affords assistance to students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments (e.g. read stories, listen to students read, providing writing assistance, reinforce English lessons, provide spelling practice, facilitate activities, computer learning programs, etc.)
• Implements, under the supervision of assigned teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans
• Maintains manual and electronic files and records (e.g. student data, assessments, etc.)
• Maintains a safe and positive learning environment by monitoring individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings (e.g. classroom, playground, cafeteria, arrival/departure, etc.)
• Responds to emergency situations (e.g. injured student, fights, etc.)
• Supports classroom teachers and other school personnel

Experience

Job related experience is required.

Education

Community college and/or vocational school degree with study in job-related area. Equivalency: 60 hours of verifiable college credit hours from an accredited institution of higher learning or Para Pro exam.

Clearances

Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance, IVP (Identity Verified Print) Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Salary

$16.16- $16.82 /HR 180 Days Position
