The Goddard School of Rockville is looking for a warm, nurturing, and dependable Part-Time Infant Teacher to join our incredible team! Responsibilities
- Caring for infants with warmth, patience, and responsiveness
- Supporting each baby's individual routines, feeding schedules, diapering, and nap times
- Creating meaningful learning experiences through our proprietary Wonder of Learning® curriculum
- Encouraging sensory exploration, language development, and early social-emotional skills
- Building strong, positive relationships with families through daily communication
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom that exceeds licensing standards
- Collaborating with a supportive teaching team to provide exceptional care and education
- Observing and documenting developmental milestones and celebrating each child's progress
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous experience working with infants or young children in a licensed childcare setting preferred
- 90 hour certification in infant & toddlers
- Completion of Maryland state-required pre-service training (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. while caring for young children
