Part-Time Industrial Custodian

Responsibilities

• Gather, break down, and dispose of trash and recyclables in plant and office bins/containers daily, placing them in outside dumpsters.
• Clean and service restrooms daily, including stocking supplies in each building.
• Perform general cleanup in all areas of the facility.
• Clean floors weekly by sweeping, vacuuming, and removing debris that could pose a risk to employees.
• Notify managers of needed repairs or additions to buildings/operating systems.
• Perform non-routine and emergency cleanings as assigned.
• Dust, disinfect high-touch areas, mop, vacuum, and handle other cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus 3+ years of related experience.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and appearance.
• Observant, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to clean up blood if necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to adhere to safety regulations.
• Punctual, professional, and able to maintain a clean environment.
• Prior industrial building maintenance and custodial experience highly preferred.

Skills

• Highly organized and self-motivated.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize safety.
• Proficient in interpersonal skills.
• Some experience in manufacturing custodial work.

Physical Demands

The role requires regular standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment

Work is performed in both office and production/manufacturing/warehouse environments. Noise levels are usually moderate. Travel required between two sites, approximately 2 miles apart.
