About the role
The Imaging Scheduler coordinates outpatient imaging procedures such as MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and X-ray.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments for imaging procedures
- Verify orders and obtain prior authorizations
- Provide patient preparation instructions
- Assist physicians and staff with administrative tasks
- Ensure effective communication between departments
- Maintain a safe and organized environment
- Support staff training and orientation
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of experience in secretarial, receptionist, or customer service roles
Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Proficiency in computer skills and operation of communication systems
- Customer service orientation and ability to communicate with diverse backgrounds
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment and pay attention to detail
- Basic keyboard or computer skills
