Part-Time Human Resources Specialist

About the role

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Part-Time HR Specialist to support day-to-day human resources operations. This role will assist with key HR functions such as employee onboarding, records management, benefits administration, compliance support, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment activities, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications
• Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes
• Maintain accurate employee files, HR records, and documentation
• Help administer benefits, leave tracking, and other employee programs
• Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
• Assist with payroll coordination and timekeeping review as needed
• Support compliance with employment laws, workplace policies, and internal procedures
• Prepare HR reports, letters, and other documentation
• Help coordinate training, performance review cycles, and employee engagement activities
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
• Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of human resources or administrative experience preferred
• Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and employee relations processes
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time schedule
