Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ conditions and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
- Observe and interpret patients’ symptoms and communicate them to physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the care team to devise individualized care plans for patients.
- Perform routine procedures, including blood pressure measurements, injections, and other skilled nursing services.
- Complete accurate and timely patient documentation and charts.
- Administer medications and provide treatments according to physician orders.
- Maintain excellent hygiene and safety standards.
- Provide appropriate medical care and intervention in emergency situations.
- Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs and nursing assistants as needed.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Valid Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Proven experience as a Registered Nurse; 1 year of experience preferred.
- Home Health experience preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, compassionate, and patient-focused.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Cooperative Home Care office to pick up and return the company vehicle.
