About the Role

Carnegie Mellon University’s Department of Athletics is searching for a Part-Time Goalkeeper Coach for their Women’s Soccer team. A national research university, Carnegie Mellon is a member of the NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports program.

This position is part-time from August - November 30, 2026, then March 1 - April 30, 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate competency in sport skill instruction, motivation, and ability to work under the direction of the head coach.
  • Recruit potential student-athletes under the direction of the head coach via phone, email, or personal contact.
  • Demonstrate sincere interest in the personal, academic, and athletic progress of student-athletes.
  • Exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior pursuing sport program goals as set by the head coach.
  • Leadership and professional behavior when dealing with student-athletes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1+ years of athletic coaching experience required.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
  • Child Protection Clearances (Act 153).
  • OSHA on-the-job Hazardous Materials Safety Training.
