Part Time General Medicine Nurse

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care in a General Medicine unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Utilize critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in medical-surgical or med-surg oncology settings is preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive role.

Additional Requirements

• Current RN license.
• Preferred: BSN degree and experience in Med-Surg or oncology nursing.
