Part-Time Front Desk Customer Service Representative
The University Fitness Center at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, is seeking friendly, outgoing customer service staff to support its front desk operations. Evening and weekend availability is required.
Job Duties
- Maintain access control for the facility, ensuring proper identification for entry.
- Use custom software for member check-ins and updating member accounts; also process cash, check, and credit card sales for memberships, training packages, class programs, and guest passes.
- Schedule new member orientations, personal training sessions, and racquetball and squash court reservations.
- Conduct facility tours and answer questions.
- Answer phones, field questions, and route phone calls in keeping with the Front Desk standards.
- Keep an accurate account of all locker keys as they are checked out throughout the day.
- Perform electronic filing of all membership documents.
Requirements, Qualifications, and Competencies
- The successful candidate must be a reliable, detail-oriented, and committed team player.
- The successful candidate must also possess the ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude while serving a diverse customer base.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
