About the role
We’re seeking a Part Time Front Desk Agent to join our dynamic team at Courtyard Denver Downtown. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a historic yet modern setting, contributing to exceptional guest experiences in Denver's vibrant downtown area.
Responsibilities
- Responds to arriving, departing and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.
- Greets and completes check-in procedures for guests, ensuring they are satisfied and in their rooms as requested.
- Facilitates guest departure by closing guest accounts and opening rooms for new sales.
- Calculates and posts guest accounts, maintaining accurate hotel records and presenting timely charges upon check-out.
- Accepts reservations and answers inquiries, using suggestive selling techniques to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Controls cash transactions, maintaining complete responsibility for personal bank as specified by hotel policies.
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience required.
- Must have high school graduate level mathematical aptitude and knowledge of standard cash handling procedures.
- Experience in dealing directly with the public and basic customer service skills.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
- Able to handle stress and deal with various customer service problems.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read written communiques and monochrome computer screens.
- Must be able to operate computer, calculator, and telephone keyboards.
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged standing at indoor, thermostatically climate-controlled work station under florescent lighting.
- Bending/kneeling - repeated bending and kneeling required while filing.
- Mobility - must be able to reach all areas of hotel to assist clients.
- Occasional standing.
- Occasional carrying and lifting of files and office items up to 25 lbs.
