Part Time Food Service Support

About the role
This position is responsible for various duties as a member of the food services team to provide nutritional meals and safeguard the health of residential clients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and serves food in accordance with established menus
- Monitors the use of food and prepares additional quantities as needed
- Properly stores dietary supplies according to department procedures
- Notes any safety issues requiring immediate notification of Program Coordinator or School Office
- Participates in Monthly Environment of Care inspections and ensures compliance with Joint Commission Standards of care
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent; additional training in food preparation preferred
- Must be able to read at a 12th grade level
- At least one year of food preparation experience in an institutional setting; previous experience with the National Lunch Program is preferred
- Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds, walk, run, stoop, kneel, push/pull, and reach above shoulders
Other requirements:
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings including: Drug Screen, Physical, Physical Abilities Test, TB Test, and Influenza Vaccine
- Valid driver's license
- Completion of The Diana Screen (a screening assessing appropriate boundaries between adults and children)
