Part Time Floating Maintenance Technician
About the role
The Maintenance Tech aka Fix-It Pro & Property Perfectionist role involves routine maintenance and repairs across assigned properties to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position requires basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical skills, and a background in these areas is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and address building-related issues.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and scheduled procedures.
- Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts, and order materials as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of buildings, units, and grounds.
- Communicate regularly with property teams about maintenance needs, budgets, and completed work.
- Absorb and coordinate external vendor and contractor services for larger repair or capital improvement projects.
- Follow all OSHA guidelines and company safety policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- A background screening will be conducted at the time of hire.
- For positions involving driving, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
