About the role

The Maintenance Tech aka Fix-It Pro & Property Perfectionist role involves routine maintenance and repairs across assigned properties to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position requires basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical skills, and a background in these areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and address building-related issues.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and scheduled procedures.
  • Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts, and order materials as directed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of buildings, units, and grounds.
  • Communicate regularly with property teams about maintenance needs, budgets, and completed work.
  • Absorb and coordinate external vendor and contractor services for larger repair or capital improvement projects.
  • Follow all OSHA guidelines and company safety policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • A background screening will be conducted at the time of hire.
  • For positions involving driving, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
