Part-Time Farmer's Market Associates

Greetings

S. Clyde Weaver is hiring part-time Farmer's Market Assistants at their farmer's market stand in the Lancaster County Farmer's Market in Wayne, PA. Positions are available from 15-30 hours per week, specifically on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Shifts can range from 10-12 hours to 20-30 hours per week based on candidate availability.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
• Stocking/building case displays
• Product preparation
• Help with market stand set up and tear down
• Cleaning and sanitizing market cases
• Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products
• Differentiate between products, helping customers compare and contrast flavors, textures, parings, etc.
• Answer all customer questions and address concerns
• Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer
• Handle all transactions with accuracy
• Maintain an excellent shopping experience for customers
• Train/operate food service equipment (slicer, chipper, etc.)
• Additional sanitation and market support as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of retail experience desired
• Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive and friendly attitude
• Reliable and punctual
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds
