Part Time Farm Tour Guide (Days)

Pay

$16–$18 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Part-time, seasonal (October–May). Monday–Friday with occasional weekends. Hours vary; 1–3 tours on scheduled work days.

Responsibilities

• Provide guided tours for scheduled groups, including schools and the general public, using scripted tour messages.
• Deliver excellent customer service throughout the visitor experience in the Welcome Center and on tour, including answering questions, directing visitors, and monitoring compliance with rules.
• Follow opening and closing procedures for the Welcome Barn and tour route elements.
• Manage Welcome Center Barn operations and computer software, including tour check-in, merchandise store, and ice cream parlor duties.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficiency in computer applications and working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• High degree of professionalism and strong internal and external customer service orientation.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as demanded by the department.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally work in high places.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and caustic chemicals.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
