Job Title: Part-Time Faculty, Sociology

Summary, Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences seeks part-time faculty to teach sociology courses on a per-course basis. For Fall 2026, we seek someone able to teach SOC100, Introduction to the Sociological Perspective, and/or SOC212, Sociology of the Family.

Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in sociology, or a closely related field with substantial background in sociology at time of application.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
• PREFERRED: Experience teaching sociology or closely related field at the college level. Experience teaching in one or more of the following areas: Introductory sociology, sociology of the family at the college level.
