The Quinnipiac University School of Business seeks highly qualified applicants for part-time faculty positions in the Department of Finance. The expected start date is Fall 2026.

The mission of the Quinnipiac University School of Business is to prepare students for successful careers in the 21st century. The school fosters a vibrant learning environment with innovative pedagogies, research opportunities, and collaborative centers. The new building scheduled to open in Fall 2025 will enhance students' learning and social development. The school is AACSB accredited and has a strong focus on student success, with a 99.7% placement rate among graduates within six months.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned undergraduate or graduate courses in Finance following department guidelines.
  • Prepare and present active learning course content and engaging class activities.
  • Compile, administer, and grade assessments (assignments, exams, projects).
  • Evaluate student learning through timely feedback, maintaining records, and submitting grades by specified deadlines.
  • Offer student support through office hours, responsive communication, and guidance on university resources.
  • Ensure course content remains current and relevant, complying with all university policies.

Education Requirements

A doctorate in Finance, Economics, or related field is preferred. Candidates with an MBA or a master’s degree in one of these fields plus relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Relevant teaching or training experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, financial modeling, financial analytics, or financial statement analysis.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with online teaching tools and Learning Management Systems.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
