PART TIME FACULTY POOL - KINESIOLOGY
This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time (up to 67%), substitute, temporary, or hourly assignments on an as needed basis. Part-Time faculty applications will remain in the pool for one year. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview. Departments will refer to the pool of applications on file, as needed, to fill temporary assignments. This recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies.
About the role
Assignments are at the discretion of the District. The position requires a Master's degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education, or a Bachelor's degree in any of the above and a Master's degree in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration or physical therapy. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse, academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students is desired.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in teaching at the community college level.
- Master's degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education OR Bachelor's degree in any of the above and Master's degree in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration or physical therapy OR the equivalent.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse, academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
