Adapted Kinesiology Instructor Part-time Pool
Position Information
The position is located at Moccasin, CA, approximately 140 miles east of San Francisco, near Yosemite. Under general direction, the incumbent plans, directs, supervises, and is responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the hydro-electric power system, electrical transmission and distribution system, and a wide variety of electrical facilities on the Hetch Hetchy Project. Essential functions include coordinating, executing, interpreting, and assisting in the development of policies, methods, and procedures involved in the operation and maintenance of a hydro-electric power system, electrical transmission and distribution system, and electrical facilities. The incumbent also makes regular contacts with subordinate supervisors, employees, and management for the purpose of furnishing information in connection with operating and maintenance activities, prepares, reviews, and approves important operational, maintenance, and repair records and reports.
Minimum Qualifications
- Six (6) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a hydro-electric power system and appurtenant electrical facilities, including generating stations, switchyards, substations, transmission and distribution systems, communication systems, and related equipment, with three (3) years of such experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Possession of a current valid driver’s license.

Verification
All applicants must verify all qualifying experience. City employees may submit a recent performance appraisal as proof of qualifying City experience. Experience claimed in self-employment will only be accepted if supported by documents verifying income, earnings, and experience comparable to the minimum qualifications. Resumes are not considered a verification document. Verification may be waived if impossible to obtain. The applicant must submit a signed statement with the application explaining why verification cannot be obtained. Waiver requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Failure to submit the required verification or request for waiver with the application may result in rejection of the application.
Selection Procedures
Training and Experience Evaluation: Candidates' training and experience will be evaluated in terms of its duration and relevance to job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities, which include but are not limited to the operation, maintenance, and repair of a hydro-electric power system and appurtenant electrical facilities, including generating stations, switchyards, substations, transmission and distribution systems, communication systems, and related equipment. The department may administer additional selection procedures upon certification in order to make the final hiring decision.

- Holidays: Eleven (11) paid legal holidays per year. Additional floating holidays as provided by collective bargaining agreement.
- Paid Vacation: One (1) to five (5) years of service - 10 days per year. Six (6) to fifteen (15) years of service - 15 days per year. After 15 years of service - 20 days per year.
