About the role

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program at St. Charles Community College (SCC) seeks a part-time faculty member to support the educational mission of the program.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate meaningful learning opportunities for the OTA coursework
• Engage in student-centered instruction to meet the evolving needs of the occupational therapy assistant field
• Work on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis
• Support regular availability for part-time appointments

Requirements

• Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy or OTA from an ACOTE Accredited College or University
• Nationally certified with NBCOT
• Currently licensed or regulated according to Missouri state regulations

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in instruction or formalized education process, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution
• Membership in a professional association tied to area of instruction preferred

Skills

• Ability to teach in a student-centered manner
• Knowledge of current trends and practices in occupational therapy

Salary is commensurate with experience.
