Part-Time Faculty, Fine Arts 3D Glass
About the Role
The School of Visual & Performing Arts at Bucks County Community College is seeking a knowledgeable and committed part-time faculty member to join the Fine Arts area, specifically in 3-D Glass. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in three-dimensional art, a passion for teaching in higher education, and the ability to advance and modernize the glass program.
Responsibilities
- Teach foundations-level art 3D courses, including glass blowing, stained glass, and glass fusing.
- Engage in community-engaged teaching and outreach.
- Operate a mobile hot shop, if applicable.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the glass program.
Qualifications
- Master’s in Fine Arts Degree in Glass, 3-D, Sculpture, or a closely related field.
- Teaching experience in higher education, particularly with community college students.
- Demonstrated ability to teach a range of 3-D media courses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the community college level.
- Knowledge of instructional technology applications.
- Interest in community outreach and engagement.
