About the role

Fordham University seeks applications for part-time faculty positions in the Master of Science in Applied Health Informatics program. Instruction will occur on the Lincoln Center Campus in Manhattan, NY, using a hybrid format.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 1-2 courses per term
  • Deliver instruction through a hybrid model (online and in-person)
  • Engage students in active learning, facilitate discussions, and encourage real-world application of course content
  • Audit student performance through assignments, exams, and projects; provide timely and constructive feedback
  • Maintain regular virtual office hours and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with program leadership and instructional designers to ensure high-quality course delivery
  • Stay current with trends in health informatics and integrate relevant industry examples into instruction
  • Uphold academic integrity and foster a supportive learning environment

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Health Information Management, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or an international equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a healthcare or health IT setting
  • Prior teaching experience at the graduate or professional level (preferably in a hybrid or online format)
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Blackboard) and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom) will be helpful
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

    $8798 per course

    Schedule

    Part-time faculty members will teach during the fall 2025 semester.
