About the role
Fordham University seeks applications for part-time faculty positions in the Master of Science in Applied Health Informatics program. Instruction will occur on the Lincoln Center Campus in Manhattan, NY, using a hybrid format.
Responsibilities
- Teach 1-2 courses per term
- Deliver instruction through a hybrid model (online and in-person)
- Engage students in active learning, facilitate discussions, and encourage real-world application of course content
- Audit student performance through assignments, exams, and projects; provide timely and constructive feedback
- Maintain regular virtual office hours and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner
- Collaborate with program leadership and instructional designers to ensure high-quality course delivery
- Stay current with trends in health informatics and integrate relevant industry examples into instruction
- Uphold academic integrity and foster a supportive learning environment
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Health Information Management, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or an international equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a healthcare or health IT setting
- Prior teaching experience at the graduate or professional level (preferably in a hybrid or online format)
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Blackboard) and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom) will be helpful
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

Pay
$8798 per course
Schedule
Part-time faculty members will teach during the fall 2025 semester.
