Part-Time Faculty- Information Systems

Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) seeks part-time faculty to teach courses in the Computer Information Systems Department. Candidates must be able to teach both face-to-face and online. AACC values diversity and inclusiveness among its faculty and staff.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and reside in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia.

About the Role

This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Assess student progress in meeting learning objectives through formal and informal assessment.
• Meet required deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other requested information.
• Adhere to safety procedures and departmental standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
• Documented teaching experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Teaching or training experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Combination of industry and instructional experience.
• Industry certifications in: ITIL, Help Desk, Software Quality Assurance.
• Google or AWS cloud experience.
• A+ certification.
