Part Time Facilities Custodian

About the role

This position is responsible for the cleanliness of the campus sales and office buildings.

Responsibilities

• Performs general clean-up duties including trash pickup and sweeping & mopping floors according to cleaning schedule.
• Cleans offices and bathrooms, wiping down surfaces including mirrors, sinks, toilets, etc.
• Stocks bathroom supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc. as needed.
• Cleans breakroom daily, including walls, sink, refrigerator, shelves, etc.
• Notifies Accounting supplies stocker of any low stock breakroom items such as plastic utensils, paper towels, utility soap, paper plates, etc.
• Monitors smoking area, keeping area clean, and dumping/refilling buckets as needed.
• Picks up any trash outside, disposing as needed.
• Vacuums carpets, cleans/sweeps stairs per schedule.
• Dusts offices weekly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must have willingness to learn products sold, customer service, policies, and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Schedule

20-22 hours per week, 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday – Friday.

Pay

$17.50 - $20 per hour.

Working Conditions

• Job will include periods of standing, walking, reaching, stooping/kneeling, and bending.
• Stair climbing and walking on uneven surfaces will also be present.
• Subject to heat/cold in outside conditions.
• Moderate use of hands and arms will be needed.
• May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. by self, or team lift up to 75 lbs.
