Location: Hershey, PA
Pay: $16.00/hour
Minimum Age: 16 years or older

About the Role

This is a part-time position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Event Hosts support the Group Sales and Events function of Hershey’s Chocolate World. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure all meetings, events, and group events are executed flawlessly and that each guest has an exceptional experience in our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for scheduled meetings, events, and birthday parties
  • Greet guests upon arrival and always provide exceptional customer service
  • Coordinate group and events within the facility and organize group activities across divisional levels to ensure a seamless experience
  • Execute all external group and events in collaboration with each cross-functional department
  • Ensure day-of-bookings are prepared and set up in advance to execute a flawless experience
  • Engage with guests and resolve issues that arise
  • Participate in the set up and tear-down of each event
  • Collaborate with the Ticketing and Attractions team to ensure preparation for scheduled groups
  • Work closely with the Group Sales team to execute group itineraries
  • Communicate itinerary changes to each Attraction team

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with all levels of people
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work with large crowds in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable handling money transactions
  • Ability to react quickly and remain calm in special/crisis situations
  • Ability to tolerate repetitive motion of the hands, fingers, and wrists when keyboarding
  • Approachable, showing that our guests are our priority
  • Initiate contact with guests by being courteous and greeting them with a smile
  • Willing to listen to guests and provide for their needs
  • Provide a genuine "Thank You" to every guest

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required
  • 1 year of customer service experience is preferred but not required

Schedule

Requires availability to work nights, weekends, and holiday shifts.
