About the role

The Warehouse Attendant position at The Hershey Company is a part-time, seasonal role located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This position operates primarily during the summer and fall months, with minimal hours during the winter and spring.

Responsibilities

• Assist with incoming and outgoing merchandise
• Mark merchandise with accurate bar codes and retail price information
• Perform general warehouse functions such as data entry, applying retail and bar code tickets, cycle counts, batch control, and cardboard collection and cleanup
• Support retail floor operations by responding to requests as received
• Operate forklifts and order pickers
• Follow quality control standards, safety regulations, and standard operational methods and procedures
• Work within a team environment and follow established goals and procedures

Requirements

• Demonstrate the Customer Service Pledge
• Maintain a neat appearance and meet uniform standards
• Be able to continuously push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Walk or stand for 5-8 hours
• Must have communication skills and be able to function effectively as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license is preferred but not required

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of warehouse receiving and forklift experience is preferred but not required

Skills

• Ability to use RF scanners for inventory control
• Ability to use computer to complete inventory inquiries and data entry processes
