Part Time English & Social Studies Teacher 1-to-1 Education

About the role

Brightmont Academy offers a unique part-time teaching opportunity focused on one-to-one instruction. Since 1999, we’ve helped students in grades 1–12 achieve their full potential through personalized learning across 26 campuses in 11 states. This role allows you to teach English and Social Studies without the burden of lesson planning, grading, or outside work.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics, or a related subject
• Patience and empathy to support students with diverse learning needs
• A genuine passion for teaching and sharing your subject with students
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA only) and pass a federal background check

Bonus Qualifications

• Orton Gillingham training
• A teaching certification (nice to have, but not required)
• An advanced degree in a specific subject area
• Previous one-to-one teaching experience
