Part Time English & Social Studies Teacher 1-to-1 Education

About the role

Brightmont Academy offers a unique part-time teaching opportunity focused on one-to-one instruction. Since 1999, we’ve helped students in grades 1–12 achieve their full potential through personalized, student-centered learning across 26 campuses in 11 states.

In this role, you’ll teach English or Social Studies without the burden of lesson planning, grading, or outside work. Your sole focus will be inspiring and guiding one student at a time, tailoring lessons to their individual needs and learning styles.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics, or a related subject area
• Patience and empathy for students with diverse learning needs
• A genuine passion for teaching and sharing your subject with students
• Proficiency with G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA only) and pass a federal background check

Bonus Qualifications

• Orton Gillingham training
• A teaching certification (not required but beneficial)
• An advanced degree in a specific subject area
• Previous one-to-one teaching experience
