Part Time English & Social Studies Teacher 1-to-1 Education

Brightmont Academy offers a part‑time, one‑to‑one teaching position focused on English or Social Studies. You will work with a single student at a time, tailoring instruction to their unique needs without lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading responsibilities. The role includes professional development opportunities and the chance to help students in grades 1‑12 achieve mastery through a gradual‑release approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics, etc.)
• Patience and empathy for diverse learning styles
• A genuine passion for teaching
• Proficiency with G‑Suite and a Learning Management System (LMS)
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA only) and pass a federal background check

Bonus Qualifications

• Orton‑Gillingham training
• Teaching certification (nice to have, not required)
• Advanced degree in a specific subject area
• Previous one‑to‑one teaching experience

Pay

$22‑$23 per hour.

Schedule
