Part Time English & Social Studies Teacher 1-to-1 Education

About the Role

Brightmont Academy offers a unique part-time teaching opportunity focused on one-to-one instruction. Since 1999, we’ve helped students in grades 1–12 achieve their full potential through personalized learning across 25 campuses in 10 states. This role allows you to teach without the stress of lesson planning, grading, or outside work, enabling you to concentrate solely on inspiring your student.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized one-to-one instruction in English or Social Studies (including History, Government, Economics, etc.).
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs and learning styles.
• Use G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS) to support instruction.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics, or a related subject area.
• Patience and empathy to support students with diverse learning needs.
• A genuine passion for teaching and sharing your subject with students.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA only) and pass a federal background check.

Qualifications (Bonus)

• Orton Gillingham training.
• A teaching certification (not required but a plus).
• An advanced degree in a specific subject area.
• Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
